Using local maps as a guide, I actively sought out buildings in the landscape to capture their images. Beyond their functionally structural similarities, each barn, silo, or building was unique and contained qualities akin to a human personality. Adding marks from my hand to the image and extending the boundaries of the frame helped to redefine the subjective space in which the buildings existed. I see a shared human experience and the passage of time in these structures, which are very common, but often overlooked.
